The Grand Canyon

We drove through snow after a night of freezing rain and then 4 inches of snow to find the Canyon all clouded over. But then the sun came out. Lots of beauty.  Lots of walking.  Exhausted

we saw lots of elk. Presumably the males still have antlers but we never saw one with them on

early in the morning. Snow melted in the next hour and the fog went away though we could see snow on the much higher North Rim all day. It is closed until May

What an amazing sight. Well worth the fatigue I suspect.
