Into the setting sun

The evenings are now cool. Our chairs face the western sun which light up all my plastic and glass gizmos making them shine. Even the spider webs are illuminated. We watch the hummingbird wars. I sip my wine. All is good.

I have lots of cosmos in bloom. All reseeded themselves. Zinnias were a bust. Day lilies are done. I thought I had a giant sunflower seed itself spontaneously. Turns out it was giant -10 feet tall but the flowers were only an inch across. Tried to kill it today but the stalk is two inches thick. Meanwhile it has giant seed pods...
